Shahil Agrawal born on 14th Feb 1979 in Kathmandu, graduated in International Business from Regent’s College Central London UK. He is Managing Director of Shanker Group of Companies, one of the leading business groups in Nepal.
Shahil Agrawal has grown the family business into one of the largest steel companies in Nepal employing more than 10,000 people in Nepal.
Mr. Agrawal began his career working in the family’s steelmaking business in Nepal and has over 15 years of experience working in the Manufacturing, Service, and Trade industries.
Not only into business but Agrawal is also active with several associations. He is the youngest elected associate member and currently Chairman of the Bank, Finance & Insurance Committee at FNCCI (Federation of Nepalese Industry and Commerce). Few others include Nepal Steel Rolling Mills Association (NSRMA), Noodles Association of Nepal, Soap Association of Nepal, Nepal Association of Automobiles, Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI). He has been highly appreciated and awarded for his continuous and ever-growing success. The earliest being, awarded as the Best Young Entrepreneur by Birgunj Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Best Young Entrepreneur Award by “News 24”.
He has been appointed as CIP (Commercially Important Person) from the Government of Nepal and achieved the Highest Quality awar from Nepal Standard Bureau for manufacturing of highest quality Steel in Nepal. Mr. Agrawal is the honorary consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Nepal, and he is also the Chapter Chair for Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
